Cori “Coco” Gauff is the youngest player to ever qualify for Wimbledon to reach the main draw, and defeat one of her idols, five-time Wimbledon champion, Venus Williams.

Cori is 15-years-old.  She was born on March 13, 2004, in Atlanta, Georgia.  She was not born by the time Venus Williams had won four grand slams.

Cori’s dad, Corey, was a college basketball star at Georgia State University.  Her mom, Candi, was a track-and-field star at Florida State.

“I never thought this would happen.  I’m living my dream right now, not many people get to say that.” (CNN)

Congratulations Cori, you were made for the big stage!
