Rashan Ali: Multimedia Personality Talks Trial and Triumph

A former competitive swimmer, Rashan Ali brings an athlete’s intensity to the world of broadcast journalism.  It is why she was handpicked from over 500 applicants to join popular radio personality Ryan Cameron on-air at Atlanta radio station HOT 107.9 FM.  Ali continues to rise in the ranks as a multimedia personality.  She has been on the sidelines for college football games and numerous Atlanta Hawks’ NBA games.  Ali has accomplished something few others have, adding ‘actress’ to her resume after appearing in three nationally released movies.  She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

In 2006, Ali founded Sporty Girls Inc., a non-profit organization, which encourages the development of life skills in girls ages 8-18 through participation in non-traditional sports such as golf, tennis, soccer and swimming.  In 2013, she penned and released her first children’s book “Piper Sky’s Pink Popsicle Shoes.”  Currently, Ali can be found covering college football as a sideline reporter for CBS Sports Network. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Brian, and is the proud mother of two wonderful daughters, Bailey and Carter.
