Thelma & Louise

Thelma & Louise is the story of a meek housewife joining her independent friend on a short fishing trip gone awry.  Now considered a landmark feminist film, Thelma & Louise broke the traditional road movie script by replacing typical male leads with two women.  It was controversial at the time of its release.

Actresses Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon played the characters Thelma and Louise, respectively.

The film was selected for preservation by the National Film Registry in 2016, noted as being “culturally, historically and aesthetically significant.

Thelma & Louise is such an important film.  It is both classic and revolutionary.
