Dallas Friday: Wakeboarding’s Winningest Woman

Dallas Friday

It takes a certain level of chutzpah and strength to ride a wakeboard across water while holding on to a rope.  After competing in gymnastics for five years, Dallas Friday tried the water sport and loved it.

At age 14, Dallas competed and captured Gold at the ESPN X-Games and the NBC Gravity Games.

ESPN has since dubbed her “the winningest female wakeboarder in history”.

On how she got into wakeboarding:

“My brothers had me try it one weekend and I absolutely loved it.  I was 12 and at the boy-crazy phase.  I tried to be just as good as they are.” (shape.com)

Named after a small town in North Carolina, Dallas was born September 6, 1986 in Orlando Florida.
